The QRT Customer Representative position will be responsible for driving inside sales and processing customer quotations. In this position you will be reviewing customer requests, processing quotes in a suitable matter, following up on open quotes, and working with the Quick Response Team to ensure timely completion of all daily tasks.
Job Description and Duties:
• Interface with both customers as well as vendors to provide quotations. The QRT Representative is the primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to the RFQ.
• Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities.
• Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
• Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.
• Provide support for day-to-day management of assigned projects and meet regularly with various team members to ensure projects and essential activities are on track.
• Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
• When issues arise, keep the customer and management informed of project status and actions planned to correct the situation.
• Ensure contractual deliverables are accounted and costed for in the estimation process.
• Establish project costing using vendor quotations and historical sales data and trending analysis.
• Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Project Management or Sales.
• 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A strong team player with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to successfully lead a diverse team, as well as organize and manage multiple projects of varying complexity.
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications.
• Ability to utilize available resources effectively to solve problems as they occur.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Salesforce CRM.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work with and manage outside vendors.
• A highly motivated self-starter that works well without supervision.
